Primarily due to Coronavirus pandemic followed by the brutal and bloody war, students in Tigray have been away from school for more than three years. Now that there is a relative peace following the Pretoria peace agreement students are willing and ready to go back to school. However, parents of these students have lost their ability to feed their own children let alone supporting them with school materials.

There are many young people in various medical institutions of Tigray who have been seriously injured during the course of the brutal and bloody war. Our organization, Bana Development and Humanitarian Aid has assessed that these young disabled war veteran patients lack hygiene items, especially body and laundry soaps. This means that in addition to their physical injuries and disabilities they are vulnerable to infectious diseases due to lack of personal hygiene.
